Where most clients begin
Cellar Inventory & Audit
Every bottle counted, located, and its condition recorded — what you have, where it sits, and what’s ready to drink now.
Value comes with the record: a defensible figure on each bottle for insurance, an estate, a gift, or a sale. There’s more than one standard of value and few collectors know which they need — we’ll tell you which, and why it matters.
Steward
Ongoing Cellar Advisory
An audit is a snapshot. A cellar moves.
Bottles get opened and never come off the record; spring and fall allocations arrive and sit in their boxes on the floor; you try one of twelve and it isn’t what you hoped. We keep the record current, watch the windows, and stay on the other end of the phone for what comes next — where a case should land, what to open first, and what’s better released than kept.
Move
Relocation & Refrigerated Logistics
A winery gives a wine everything it has. You keep it impeccably from the day it arrives. What happens in between is the part nobody watches — unconditioned trailers, expedited air service delayed on the hot tarmac, bottles in the hands of people who have no idea what they’re carrying.
Time in transit is the single greatest threat to a wine’s integrity, and ultimately to its enjoyment.
Ten cases or a thousand. House to house, cellar to auction house, winery or retailer into storage. Packed, manifested, and moved under temperature control — we plan the route, vet the carrier, and stand at both ends of it.
Realize
Sale & Disposition
Selling isn’t the end of a collection — it’s how a collection gets better: fewer bottles, better bottles, paid for by what’s already on the racks.
Catalogue deadlines are real, and a bottle placed in the right sale earns more for being there. But the urgency belongs to the house, not to you. A quick sale and the highest number are different roads, and thin provenance narrows both.
When your full collection is ready for new hands, the reason is yours to keep. Decades went into building it — that should be worth raising a glass to, not something to get through.
Where most engagements begin
The Cellar Audit.
Three of the four services start from the same record — every bottle verified, valued, and captured in one place. Move is the exception: if there’s a date on the calendar, start there and we’ll build the record after.
